The department is backed up by highly efficient Laboratories encompassing the following practical domains:

Electrical Technology Lab
This lab has kits for performing all the electrical circuit experiments to verify various network theorems. It also has various electrical generators and transformers.

Analog Electronics Lab
In this lab, we have the equipment, instruments, integrated circuit chips(ICs), and all other components to perform experiments based on both electrical and digital electronics.
Electro-Mechanical Energy Conservation (EMEC) lab
Both AC and DC electrical machines and transformers are installed in this lab to perform all the required experiments on electrical machines.

Microprocessor Lab
This lab has both 8085, 8086, and various other microcontrollers chip in sufficient numbers and various interfacing devices like 8253, 8255, ADC and DAC reader card, EPROM program an EPROM eraser.

Power Electronics and Drives Lab.
This laboratory mainly focuses on research in the areas of variable speed drive and generating systems, including optimal design of electric machines using finite element method, power electronics device characterization and power circuit synthesis, analysis and application, on-line digital signal processor application to variable speed systems, and advanced control theory application to variable speed systems. Electrical Measurements Lab.
Experiments for measurement of electrical parameters like resistance, inductance, capacitance, etc. are performed in this lab by using advanced practical kits Control Systems Lab.
This laboratory imparts knowledge about different system controlling & system response parameters. Real-time control applications like Stepper Motor Control, P, PI & PID controller are done in this laboratory using various control kits.

Electrical Machines lab
This is a core laboratory that provides elaborate knowledge about the working of the A.C. & D.C. Machines. The performance characteristics like efficiency, speed, torque, slip, etc. can be noted down for relevant readings of various experiments.

Switch Gear & Protection Lab
This laboratory imparts knowledge about power system protection & various switch gears used for a power system. The advanced microprocessor-based panel is equipped in this laboratory.

High Voltage Lab.
The focus of the high voltage laboratory is in the area of technologies for a future sustainable electric energy supply, in particular, electric energy transmission
